Personal care means handling data carefully. Here’s how we distinguish between what you save, what AI processes and what you choose to share.
Your personal conversations are stored locally in the app on your device. SoulBuddy does not keep that conversation history as a chat archive in its backend database.
Clearing app data may also delete local conversations. Local storage is not an automatic cloud backup.
To generate a response, your message and relevant conversation context are processed through our AI service with your consent. This may include relevant context from local memory. An AI conversation therefore does not work entirely offline.
Check your privacy settings in the app and only share information you want to have processed. AI responses may be incorrect.
You choose who can see a prayer request, moment of gratitude or reflection, such as friends or your church community. These shared posts work differently from your local AI conversations: they are available to the group you select.
Your conversations with your buddy are not automatically shared with your community.
Data for account features, settings, subscriptions and the community is processed by the relevant services. Our statement about local storage applies specifically to your personal conversation history.

When you use the contact form, we process your name, email address, subject and message to answer your question. Your message is sent to the SoulBuddy team through Resend. This does not sign you up for newsletters.
We do not keep a copy of your message in the website database. To protect against abuse, we use temporary, protected identifiers and counters. Please do not share passwords or personal conversations through the form.
